Post-decision Phase Activities — Decision Statement Amendments
As mentioned in the previous module, the Minister has the authority to amend a Decision Statement. To do so, the Minister may:
- Add, remove or amend a condition, or
- Modify the designated project’s description
In the circumstance that there is an amendment to the Decision Statement:
- The determination of public interest cannot be changed
- A notice of the intended amendment and an invitation for public comment must be posted on the Registry
- After considering the comments received from the public, the final amendment and reasons for it must be posted on the Registry
